Half the movies I bought aren’t showing up in my account anymore, and it’s really frustrating. I don’t want another canned apology or generic “sorry for the inconvenience” response — I just want someone to actually fix it and get my movies back.

"Offline viewing is really hit or miss"
I downloaded a few movies before a flight thinking I was being prepared, and somehow only one of them actually played once I was offline. The rest either said they needed to verify something or just spun forever on the loading screen. I even tried deleting and redownloading them before I left, and it still happened. The weird thing I remember is staring at the little loading circle while the guy next to me opened a banana with a spoon. Anyway, frustrating since the whole point was to watch without wifi. I wouldn’t rely on it if you really need offline viewing...

"Frustrating, though maybe not totally awful"
I wanted to like using the site, and at first I thought maybe I was just missing something, but no—it’s clunky. The buttons feel hidden in weird places, pages load kind of strangely, and finding my movies takes way more clicks than it should. It’s not unusable, actually wait, it kind of feels that way sometimes.

"Downloads still aren’t working for me"
I don’t know what else to say, but the downloads just don’t work right. I try to download a movie and the app just sits there spinning forever. It’s not my connection either, because everything else loads fine. Frustrating when that’s the whole reason I’m trying to use the app.

"Pretty clear charges and purchases"
So, I’ve bought a few movies on Movies Anywhere, the billing stuff has been easy to follow. Like, it shows me what I’m buying before I check out, and I haven’t noticed any weird extra charges or anything like that. The receipts come through quick too, which is nice. I mean, the only thing is I kind of wish the purchase history was a little easier to sort through, but overall, yeah, it’s been clear and I haven’t really had any billing issues...

"App works, but it can be really laggy"
Most of the time the movies load and play fine, but every now and then the app just freezes or takes really long to start up. Casting is kind of hit or miss too. It’s not the worst, but it gets really annoying when I’m just trying to watch something quick.

I kept running into error after error, and it got frustrating quickly. What made it worse was that it didn’t really feel like there was an actual person there to help, just a system that wasn’t giving me much to work with...

I don’t really know what’s going on, but the sync is still messed up. I buy or add movies and they just don’t show up in my library like they’re supposed to. Basically, it’s still broken and frustrating

I’m not sure if it’s just me, but linking my retailers has been hit or miss. Some of my movies sync over with no problem, while others just never show up at all. I’d be curious to know if other people are seeing the same thing

In the end, I just didn’t feel comfortable keeping my account as-is. The privacy settings felt kind of sketchy, and the account security didn’t give me much confidence. Maybe it’s fine for some people, but for me it felt a little too weak.

I really wanted to like Movies Anywhere because the idea sounded super convenient, but using it has been frustrating. Sometimes my movies just don’t show up, linking accounts feels way more confusing than it should, and support basically gives the same generic answers every time.
I’ve literally paid for these movies, so it’s annoying to still have to jump through hoops just to watch them. The app feels buggy and unreliable, and at this point it’s more of a hassle than it’s worth

"Streaming is decent, but the freezing feels preventable"
Most of the time the streaming works fine, but it does freeze or buffer here and there, especially during movies. It’s not constant, but it’s annoying when it happens and feels like something that should be preventable.

I really wanted to be fair here because support did keep responding to me, and I appreciate that they didn’t just ignore my messages. But at the end of the day, nothing actually got resolved. I’m still missing my movie weeks later, and the back-and-forth didn’t really get me anywhere.

"Logging in was way more frustrating than it should be"
I actually like the idea of Movies Anywhere, but wow, getting into my account was annoying. It kept telling me my password was wrong, even though I was sure it wasn’t, and then the reset email took forever to show up. Weirdly, I remember I had time to finish half a bag of pretzels while waiting for it. I did finally get in after a few tries, but the whole login process really needs to be smoother.

"Support came through, just not super fast"
One of my movies wasn’t showing up, so I reached out to support thinking, okay, hopefully this is a quick fix. They did get back to me and were nice about it, but it took a couple days, and I had that little moment of, wait, didn’t I already explain this? since I had to repeat the issue again. It did get sorted out in the end, so I’m not really mad about it. I just wish the response time had been a bit better

"Works most of the time, but support feels distant"
Movies Anywhere is usually there when I need it, which I appreciate. I’ve had a few times where things loaded really slowly or a movie didn’t show up right away, and while it eventually fixed itself, it kind of felt like I was just on my own waiting around with no real response. Overall it’s a solid service, but the moments when something goes wrong can make you feel a bit ignored

The streams look good most of the time and I’ve only had one little buffering issue so far. I’m just hoping it stays that way, because I don’t exactly trust customer service to be much help if something bigger comes up.

I tried using it on my older tablet and also through the Samsung TV app, and it just won’t play. At first I thought maybe it was my internet, or actually, no, everything else streams fine, so I’m sure it’s the app not working with my setup.

I was hoping family sharing would make things easier, but honestly, it’s been mostly useless for us. I can’t even share movies with my kids without running into constant account issues, super frustrating when we’re just trying to watch something together.

Movies Anywhere makes me feel like I don’t fully own the movies I’ve paid for. It all seems to depend on accounts staying linked, studios continuing to participate, and the app not randomly having issues!!
I just want to buy a movie and feel confident it’s actually mine. With this service, it feels more like I’m borrowing access until something goes wrong, so I don’t have much trust in it for long-term ownership.
